From the Rhythms of Kampala to the Wild Pulse of Africa
This 8-day journey through Uganda reveals the country’s beating heart—from the deep drumming traditions of Mpigi to the whispering forests of Bwindi, and the thundering hooves across the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth. Track the elusive mountain gorilla through emerald jungles, cruise along hippo-laden waterways, and marvel at chimpanzees swinging through treetops in Kibale.
Each day on this safari paints a different stroke on Uganda’s wild canvas—lush, unpredictable, and unforgettable. It’s not just a safari—it’s a soul-deep encounter with Africa’s finest.
When you’re ready, we’ll take you there.
Touchdown in the Pearl of Africa
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a company representative and transferred to Kampala. Enjoy your first evening in Uganda relaxing at a comfortable hotel of your choice, with dinner and overnight as you prepare for the adventure ahead.
Drums, Hemispheres & Savannah Dreams
After breakfast, head southwest, stopping at the Mpigi Drum Makers, where ancient rhythms come alive through traditional craftsmanship. Next, pose at the Equator—one foot in each hemisphere—before driving past scenic Ankole landscapes and long-horned cattle. Arrive at Lake Mburo National Park in time for a tranquil afternoon boat ride, spotting hippos and rich birdlife. Dinner and overnight at your selected lodge.
From Zebras to Giants of the Forest
Start with a morning game drive through Lake Mburo’s acacia woodlands and grassy plains, home to zebra, eland, topis, and over 300 bird species. Return for a late breakfast, then set out for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the mystical realm of the mountain gorilla. Arrive in the evening and check in at your forest lodge. Dinner and overnight under the canopy.
A Meeting That Changes You Forever
With packed lunch and excitement in tow, report for briefing at park HQ and begin your gorilla trek. The trail may be steep, the air thick with vines and birdsong, but every step leads to something profound. When you finally meet your gorilla family, nothing prepares you for the gaze of a silverback. After this life-changing hour, return for rest. If time allows, enjoy a guided village walk—visit a traditional healer, blacksmith, and local brewer. Enjoy traditional dances or visit Bwindi Hospital to see conservation meet community. Overnight at your lodge.
Where Forest Gives Way to Savannah
After breakfast, journey north to Queen Elizabeth National Park, entering through the Ishasha Sector—famed for its elusive tree-climbing lions. With a short game drive en route, enjoy your first glimpse of buffalo, kob, and possibly leopards. Check in at your lodge, surrounded by acacia-dotted plains and crater lake views. Dinner and overnight.
Wildlife, Water & Wonder
Rise early for a sunrise game drive along the Kasenyi tracks. The park’s mosaic of habitats means you might spot elephants, lions, hyenas, and grazing antelopes all in one drive. After brunch and relaxation, head for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where wildlife gathers at the shores—hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, elephants, and over 600 species of birds. Return to your lodge for dinner and a starlit evening.
Chimpanzees & The Call of the Forest
After breakfast, drive to Kibale Forest, arriving in time for chimpanzee trekking in the afternoon. Listen to the rustle of leaves and the hoots echoing through the canopy as you track families of chimps—our closest relatives in the animal kingdom. Overnight stay in a forest lodge.
Farewell to the Wild
After breakfast, you may opt for a scenic crater lake tour before beginning the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport, arriving in time for your onward flight.
End of Safari—but only the beginning of your African story.
